I love getting my locks done with this technique. Twisting
was stressing my hair and it was more expensive in the
long run because I'd have to get it done every two weeks.
This method allows me to have the freedom I've always
wanted with locks. When twisting, I had to worry about my
hair getting loose when wet and I'd worried about what
products the loctician might be using. I prefer natural
ingredients and that isn't guaranteed with every stylist. With
this technique I am worry-free all the time and on so many
levels. No products are necessary to complete the
technique and I can sweat, get wet and do whatever without
losing the tightness. It lasts a long time. I really appreciate
that touch-ups are inexpensive as well, so if I need
something in between appointments I can manage that.

I began Locking my hair 11 years ago, utilizing common techniques
i.e. twisting, adding gel or wax. Six months into the process I began
seeking other methods of locking my hair that would reduce frizzing,
unraveling and damage to my hair.
One day I received an introduction referral to experience an ancient
method of locking natural hair that derived from Africa. I was
intrigued by the method called Nzurilokzs and pleased by its results
on my hair. Initially, I made a decision to become a certified loctician
to share the Nzurilozs technique with a few friends, now it has
become my livelihood and I love it.
I never thought I would be a professional loctician, having graduated from UCLA with a BA in psychology and working in human resources. We all know life's path has many turns and I have never regretted this one.
